Who Framed Mary Magdalene?

Who framed Mary Magdalene? I ask the question because millions of people believe Mary was a prostitute. Who painted her eye shadow blue? Look no further than Pope Gregory who began spreading the fake news in the sixth century. 

 

Based on a loose assumption in Luke’s gospel, the Pope forever maligned Mary as a loose woman. However, the truth is that Mary was a passionate follower of Jesus, present at the cross, and gloriously set free from a life tormented by seven demons (Luke 8:1-3; John 19:25).

 

She was also first to the empty tomb (Mark 16:1-3). Twenty centuries of Christianity rests on a single event, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and on testimonies from people like Mary Magdalene who said they were there and saw the risen Christ.
