Two thousand years ago, the supernatural birth of the church on the day of Pentecost was an epic event in church history. The dramatic arrival of the Holy Spirit and the unique manifestation of His coming astonished some while evoking much debate and controversy in others.

Devout men and women from every nation under heaven were there in Jerusalem on that prophetic day. They heard the simple Galileans speak in their own language. “And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” (Acts 2:12).

Indeed, what does the day of Pentecost mean? For starters, in means a brand new identity in Christ as the Holy Spirit now baptizes all believers into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).
