The Value of One Lost Soul
The United States of America has the greatest economy on planet Earth. The market value of any asset is determined by the price someone is willing to pay for it, and by two forces in the marketplace known as supply and demand. Buy low and sell high is the game we all play.
But what is the market value of one lost soul? In Luke chapter 15, Jesus told three stories that underscore the value heaven places on a single soul. The parable of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost or prodigal son makes it clear.
Jesus said, “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents that over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).
