When King David, the psalmist and shepherd, wrote, “My cup overflows” (Psalm 23:6), he reminded us that the best of life and ministry is overflow.

The best sermons are the overflow of the preacher’s time alone with God. The best churches are filled with people who overflow with a love for God and people. They end up creating overflow rooms to accommodate all the people who attend Sunday worship. The best marriages happen when each spouse overflows with the fruit of the Spirit, exuding love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

“My cup overflows” impacts your attitude and your altitude. It smooths over relationships, attracts friendships, and lubricates every tense conversation you might have throughout the day.
