The Oasis of Love · Something Good Radio

Years ago, a large church in Houston, Texas, advertised their ministry on billboards across the city by calling itself “The Oasis of Love.” As corny as the church marketing slogan was, it was also a powerful reminder that every congregation should be a welcoming place where people feel loved by God and others.

Is your church an oasis of love? A first-century church in Ephesus was not. The Ephesians were low on love because they had fallen out of love with Jesus. For that reason, the Ephesians received a stern letter from Jesus, the Head of the church, which the Apostle John recorded in the book of Revelation.

Repent and return to your first love. That’s how we get ready for Jesus’s return.
