The Father's Big House

Cathryn and I have friends in Dallas who live in a big house. Their house is so big it has a second story dance studio where the wife teaches line dancing. They also have a slide that goes from the second floor to the first. Yes, a slide! We once had a staff party there. After learning how to line dance, we all took a lightning-fast ride down the slide.

But my friend’s house is puny compared to the Father’s big house. Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many rooms (John 14:2). An older translation of Scripture says “many mansions.” Exactly how big is God’s house?

Here’s the good news. Heaven is large enough for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
