The Crown of Righteousness

Reflecting on the closing days of his ministry, the Apostle Paul writes, “Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8).

God promises an eternal reward to those who eagerly await the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Believers have already received the gift of righteousness by faith. But this crown of righteousness is an eternal prize that represents divine appreciation for a godly life lived in daily an anticipation of the Lord’s return.

Like an Olympic runner who receives a prize for winning, will you receive the crown of righteousness?
