Overcoming Anti-Semitism
According to the History Channel, anti-Semitism is history’s oldest hatred. The Nazis perpetrated the most extreme example of anti-Semitism in what we know as the Holocaust. During World War II, Hitler’s “Final Solution to the Jewish Problem,” as he called it, led to the extermination of more than six million Jews.
More than two millennia before Hitler, a hate-spewing ruler named Antiochus IV Ephiphanes rose to power in Greece during the Maccabean Period from 175 to 164 BC. He is the “little horn” of Daniel chapter 8 and a foreshadowing of the Antichrist to come at the time of the end.
The devil is hell-bent on destroying God’s chosen people through whom Messiah came. Even the smallest hint of anti-Semitism must be quelled in any generation.
