Charles Hadden Spurgeon, the prince of preachers, once called Jesus "Our Glorious Boaz!" as he thought about the sweet romance between Boaz and Ruth.

Like Boaz, Jesus is kind to us.

Like Boaz, Jesus satisfies our needs completely.

Like Boaz, Jesus elevates our status.

Like Boaz, Jesus is our "refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).

Like Boaz, Jesus shares His wealth with us.

And like Boaz, Jesus prays for us.

Are you surprised by God's favor? Are you gripped by His grace in your life? Like Ruth, you and I were strangers and outsiders until Jesus, our glorious Boaz, redeemed us and made us His own.
