We’ve just learned that U.S. military personnel in three critical locations have been put on the very highest state of alert after being warned of potential terrorist attacks.

These days, it’s not unusual to hear a statement like that from a trusted news source. The military placed on high alert means there’s enough credible intelligence to suggest an enemy is getting ready to attack us.

Prayer is the way a Christian stands on high alert against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The devil is always planning his next attack, which is why an intelligence briefing in the Bible tells us to “pray at all times in the Spirit” and to “keep alert with all perseverance” (Eph. 6:18-20).
