Colossians contains some of the loftiest language about Jesus Christ found anywhere in the Bible. If we ever thought for a minute that Jesus was less than who He claimed to be, Paul’s letter to the Colossians, specifically 1:15-23, puts that to rest.

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him” (Colossians 1:15-16).

Beware of fake news and false teachers! Jesus is greater than anything we can imagine. He is Lord of creation and Lord of the new creation.
