If the Lord Wills
Picture yourself sitting in a corporate Boardroom. You and a team of people are working on your 5-year strategic plan. You talk for hours. Hours turn into days. Days turn into weeks. In the end, you have a good plan, but soon you realize the truth of James's words, "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow" (James 4:14).
There's nothing wrong with planning. But planning without praying first is presuming upon the Lord. A better approach to planning is to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that" (v. 15).
Deo volente! If the Lord wills. Try it next time you make plans for tomorrow.
