From the Inside Out

In his book Replenish: Leading from a Healthy Soul, Lance Witt writes, “Godly leadership is always inside out. God always has and always will choose to smile on men and women who are healthy, holy, and humble.”

Witt’s words land in my soul like a precision guided missile. They remind me how dangerous life and ministry can be if we live our lives with an emphasis on eternals. Today’s social media obsession, for example, is all about the outer shell of our existence; but a selfie can never capture what is truly going on inside of us.

Are you wondering, “Why am I successful on the outside but feel so empty on the inside?” Jesus taught His disciples to live, love, and lead from a healthy soul and from the inside out.
