John Wesley is not a name often heard around Wall Street types who run with the bulls and talk about buying low and selling high. Wesley once said, “Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can.”

Today, too many people cast such wisdom aside and replace Wesley’s wise financial advice with, “Make all you can, can all you get, and sit on the lid.”

Financial success God’s way sounds like this: “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine” (Proverbs 3:9-10). In other words, give to God first and He’ll take care of the rest.
